AFCAT Notification 2021: Indian Air Force has published recruitment notification today containing Advt. No. 01/2021 under CC SPECIAL ENTRY . Both male and females can be part of it. No gender boundation as such as Commissioned Officers in grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches for courses which are beginning from January 2022.

Interested candidates can apply for it from 01 December 2020. Last date of registration is 20 December 2020. In this web post we have explained everything in very user friendly manner.

Age Limit in Indian Air Force AFCAT 2021

For Post of Flying Branch – Applicant age must be 20 to 24 year on 01 January 2022. Maximum age limit for those who have valid Commercial Pilot License from DGCA can get relaxation of upto 26 years, which means that candidate should be of up to 26 year (born in 2 January to 01 January 2022. All the dates provided in this paragraph are inclusive.

For Post of Ground Duty Branch – Minimum age is 20 and Maximum capping is of 26 years old , born in between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002. All the dates provided in this paragraph are inclusive.

AFCAT 2021 Commission Type

  • PC for Men – Those applicants who are joining as PC Officers must have to work till when they reach age of superannuation (differs from branch to branch and rank to rank)
  • SSC for Men & Women – Total work tenure of flying branch officers is of 14 years starting from date of Commissioning (Non extendable). The initial tenure for SSC officers in Ground Duty (Tech and Non-Tech) branches would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit

AFCAT 2021 – Educational Qualification

Flying branch

Applicant is expected to be passed graduation with at least aggregate 60% in any subject. Only those candidates are eligible who have done 10+2 from physics and maths subjects or should holds BE / B Tech degree (4 year course) from any recognized Indian University

Technical branch (ground duty)

Candidate must have passed 4 year graduation course in engineering/technology department. 60% criteria is must for section A & B exams of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers.

Non-technical (Ground duty)

Should have done graduation from any subject but must have score of at least 60% in it , in section A and B examination of aeronautical society India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers.
