OSSSC Pharmacist Recruitment 2021: Vacancy Details
Hiring of candidates will be done for total 600 Pharmacist post. They are contractual based and district cadre posts in multiple districts. Which comprises of 7 Medical Colleges and Hospitals of Health & Family Welfare Department of Government of Odisha.
In the recruitment process Odisha Pharmacist Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2019 will be followed.
Educational Qualification
Candidate applying for the recruitment must have passed Middle School Examination & Matriculation. Must have passed +2 Science Examination under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha/equivalent and Diploma in Pharmacy from recognized college

Age Limit
While applying candidate must have achieved age of at least 21 years and should not exceed upper limit of 32 years. Please note that some age relaxation has been given to reserved categories.
Salary
- Pay Scale 255008-81100, Pay Matrix Level-7, Cell-01
- Consolidated Monthly Pay: Rs. 9,500/- Per Month
Selection Process
Selection of the candidate depends upon his performance in Written Examination. This exam will be of 100 marks. Only MCQ type questions will be asked.
- Minimum qualifying marks for candidates, other than ST/SC/SEBC, PwD, Ex-serviceman and Sports categories : 35%
- Minimum qualifying marks for ST/SC/SEBC, PwD, Ex-serviceman and Sports candidates shall : 30%
After the examination, on the basis of candidate’s marks merit list will be made. Merit list will be made category wise. Some marks will also be given for contractual work experience, if any.
Exam Pattern
a. Questions on subjects as per syllabus of Diploma in Pharmacy: 60 marks
b. Questions based on practical skill to assess the real practical skill of the candidates – 25 marks
c. Arithmetic of HSC Standard – 10 marks
d. English of HSC Standard – 5 marks
